Setu Chakrabarty
| | University of IllinoisSetu Chakrabarty is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois. For the WEST project, he will be focusing on finding ways to reduce the number of microscopic openings in the leaf that let water in. He will also be working with sorghum plants to reduce water loss. Setu earned his bachelor’s degree in botany from the University of Delhi, India and received his master’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Barddhaman, India. He went on to earn his doctorate in plant biology from Illinois.
