Edgar Spalding
| | University of Wisconsin–MadisonEdgar Spalding is a professor of botany at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His lab develops computational tools that are required to make automated, image-based studies of plant growth and development. For the WEST project, he will use computational analyses in order to estimate stomatal density.
Edgar received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Acadia University and went on to earn a doctorate from Pennsylvania State University. He has received several awards, including the Vilas Research Associate in the Biological Sciences Award. He is also a Hamel Family Faculty Fellow and Fellow of the American Society of Plant Biologists.
