John Ferguson
| | University of IllinoisJohn Ferguson is a postdoctoral researcher at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois. He is interested in understanding the physiological and genetic basis of reduced water use in bioenergy sorghum. For the WEST project, he is involved in the assessment of the natural variation that exists for key traits related to water use. John has a bachelor’s degree in ecological sciences from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom and a master’s degree in plant genetics and crop improvement at the John Innes Centre in the UK. He also holds a doctorate in biological sciences from the University of Essex in the UK. Ferguson’s work has been published in Theoretical and Applied Genetics.
